Unshakable Life (Isaiah 40:31)

Almost one month has passed since the disaster of earthquake and tsunami in eastern Japan.  We hear about wars and the threat of earthquakes is increasing.  Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow.  We might lose all our properties.  We might lose our family.  Whatever would happen to you and rock you harshly, however, God will enable you to stand still in peace.  Here are three points for you to have an unshakable life.

1. To know yourself as Godfs creation

First and foremost, you need to accept the fact that you are a creation of God.  Ephesians 2:10 says that gwe are Godfs masterpiece.h  God says that He loves you and you are precious and honored in His sight.  Even if you failed at school or work, are suffering from severe sickness, or are in the midst of calamity, your value wonft change at all.  You are the only one and very special.  First step to live an unshakable life is to know God, who created you according to His plan, and you are His masterpiece.

2. Follow the voice of the Lord

How, then, did God created you?  1Thessalonians 5:23 says that gmay your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.h  At the time of creation of heavens and earth, God planned to communicate with mankind and gave Adam not only soul and body but also spirit.  Therefore those who are spiritually connected to God listens to God, the Lord, and follow His instruction.  Unfortunately, most of the Japanese people do not know who is God and donft have opportunities to hear His voice.  As a result, some people are physical and listen to what the body says.  They often handle things according to the desires of the sinful nature.  Some are intelligent and they use their judgments of good and evil.  Yet their judgments and knowledge have limits and they also cannot handle great tragedy on their own.  Only those who are connected to God spiritually can stand still in the stormy circumstances because they listen to Godfs instructions and follow His directions. By faith they know that God will surely deliver them from the darkness.

3. Hope in the Lord

cbut those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

(Isaiah 40:31)

Eagles donft flap their wings vigorously but they spread their wings and submit themselves to the wind.  As a result, they can ascend without any efforts, and are just carried by the power of the wind.  Those who hope in the Lord soar on wings like eagles.  The source of their power comes from the wind called the Holy Spirit.

What would you do differently if you knew Jesus was coming today?

Jesus said.  gI am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.  Do you believe this?h (John 11:25, 26)

By faith, we know that Jesus will take us to the heaven and we will live there forever with Jesus.  There will be no pain, no sorrow.  We have a great hope.  Let us hope in the Lord!

Some of you are listening to the messages of Pastor Ohkawa of Yamato Calvary Chapel.  I found that a wonderful confession of faith gives strong power to the congregation at the prayer meetings of Yamato Calvary Chapel.  Since Pastor Fuyuki mentioned the ability to imitate last week, Ifd like to invite you to imitate them and declare the confession of faith loudly.  It goes like this.  Please repeat after me.

– My whole family will be saved.

– Revival will take place in Hawaii and Japan.

– God will use me.

– All of our problems will be solved.

– Everything we do will be successful.

– Miracles will happen around us.

– We say this because Jesus is always with us.

– Alleluia!  Thanks be to the Lord.
